RIC ON CLASSIC MONSTERS

My love for old horror movies is the inspiration for many of these pieces. My favorite of these movies is The Bride of Frankenstein.

When painting characters from a black and white movie, I try to keep the colors muted, so they have the feel of the original film. I also try to show the actor underneath the makeup, not just the character.
